Why Couples Counseling?

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, there’s often little room for oneself, let alone for the relationship. My couples/relationship counseling offers precisely this space—to pause, listen, and consciously put the relationship at the center.

Many couples report after the initial consultation: “It had been a long time since we truly talked to each other and listened to each other.” That was nice. That’s exactly what it’s about for me—to reconnect. To reflect together, to understand, to resolve conflicts, and to find new ways of being together.

Typical topics incounseling:

  • Communication problems and misunderstandings
  • Conflicts that repeat or escalate
  • Different needs, e.g., for closeness and space
  • Breaches of trust, jealousy, or insecurity
  • Sexual dissatisfaction or general estrangement
  • Parenthood and role distribution
  • The question: “Stay or go?”

In counseling, we explore together:

  • Your relationship dynamics and role distribution
  • How you support each other
  • Closeness, sexuality, and intimacy
  • Communication under stress and in everyday life
  • Influence of family of origin, children, or external relationships

Whether you’ve grown apart or are seeking new impulses—counseling helps you gain clarity, articulate needs, and reshape the relationship.

Individuals are also welcome – because relationship work often begins with oneself.
